Herman Miller Sayl ($545) – Best stylish office chair

The Herman Miller Sayl has always been one of the chairs that we fancy. We just love how it looks! It looks uniquely gorgeous and can pop up in a stream of black mesh office chairs. The younger generation and old alike will surely fancy this office chair too.

And not only is it eye candy, but it is also very supportive. We are expecting that since it’s a Herman Miller chair, nothing less. This is also one of the more affordable chairs of the brand. So if you fancy an Herman Miller chair but find the Aeron or Embody out of your league, the Sayl might be for you

Let’s take a look at what it can offer. It’s a solid and durable chair, and like the NEUE chair, it can stand the test of time. The weblike structure at the back also serves another purpose aside from the aesthetics. This is rather flexible and allows the chair to move with you. So even if it lacks additional lumbar support, your entire back will still feel supported. This chair also has a tilt limiter, you can push your chair a bit forward or backward.

The downside is, if you get the basic SAYL chair, it might lack customizable options that you will see in an Aeron or an Embody. You have to shell out more money if you want to get additional lumbar support, an adjustable seat depth, and 4d arms.

Also, this is a mid-back chair so there isn’t any head or neck rest. This is a very important factor to consider if you have your eyes on the Sayl. So it’s not for those who wish to recline or further lay their back and head down on the chair.

Overall, the chair is best for those who stand below 6 feet. This is a mid-back chair that offers a very flexible material. It’s a great option if you want a unique yet gorgeous-looking chair that can move with you. On the other hand, this is not a chair for the big and tall. You will find this small and seat depth is too shallow for those with long legs. It just goes up to 16 inches.

Herman Miller Mirra office chair ($499) – Best affordable ergonomic office chair

The Herman Miller Mirra is aesthetically beautiful. It’s got that sleek yet modern design that turns heads wherever you go. And if you are the minimalist type who likes things simple, then this may just be your best pick. We love how it fits right in with our style and taste.

It’s also a very comfortable chair. It has a flexible back and an adjustable tilt. This makes it perfect for people of all heights. So if you are on the shorter side, this might just be the best office chair for you. The Herman Miller Mirra is also durable and comes with a 10-year warranty.

The downside is that it doesn’t have as many customization options as the Steelcase Leap or even the Herman Miller Sayl. You only get to choose between black and white colors and there is no lumbar support. But if you are looking for a good-looking, comfortable, and affordable chair, then this may be the one for you.

Oak Hollow Furniture Aloria Series ($549) – Best value for the money

The Oak Hollow Furniture Aloria Series Office Chair is the most affordable chair on our list. But don’t let the price fool you, it still has a lot to offer. This chair comes with a headrest and lumbar support, two features that are often not included in chairs at this price point. It’s also made with high-quality materials and is very comfortable.

The only downside is that it doesn’t have as much adjustability as some of the more expensive chairs on this list. You can only adjust the height and the tilt of the chair. But if you are looking for an affordable chair with good back support, then this may be the best office chair under 600$ to get.

Malouf Matrix 9000 Headrest ($489) – A great back support office chair

The Malouf Matrix 9000 is another affordable option that offers good lumbar support. This may be perfect for those who are suffering from back pain or have herniated disks. What makes this different from other chairs is its headrest. It’s an excellent addition because it doesn’t only provide neck support but also head and upper back support as well! That’s 3 in 1, right? So if you are someone who loves to recline their backs on a high-back chair, then feel free to do so with this one! While it does lack adjustable seat depth, it does make up for it with plenty of other adjustability options. You can adjust the height, tilt, and even the tension of the chair. This makes it perfect for people of all shapes and sizes.

DUOREST Alpha Office Chair for Back Support ($249) – Most affordable gaming chair

The DUOREST Alpha is the most affordable option on our list. Despite its low price, this is an ergonomic chair that provides plenty of lumbar support. It also adopts a lot of the same design elements as more expensive models. For instance, it has a z-shaped backrest that keeps your back in place while you are sitting. If you are someone who often gets tired even after just an hour or so at work, then this may be perfect for you. So if you are looking for something comfortable and supportive, then get the DUOREST Alpha Best Best Office Chair!

Peloton Best Office Chair ($599) – Best Lumbar support

What makes the Peloton Best Office Chair special is that it comes with a lumbar support pillow. If you are someone who loves to recline while sitting, then this may be perfect for you. The cushion itself is adjustable so you can get the right fit every time! It’s also made out of high-quality memory foam so expect long-term comfort. Another plus is that it comes in different colors, including white and black if you don’t like red or blue. You can also adjust the height and tilt of the chair depending on your preference. Just monitor your back because leaning against it all day won’t do any favors.

Cougar Argo ($499.99)- Best gaming and office chair in one

Now we are going to toss in some sort of a hybrid office chair. The Cougar Argo combines the look and function of a gaming chair and an office chair. So we’re pretty excited to try this one out.

At first glance, this is a sleek and minimalist chair, but you can instantly feel the gaming vibe with the black surface and orange hues. It has several adjustable features. These are the armrests, an adjustable seat depth, and innovative lumbar support. The lumbar support is referred to as dynamic lumbar support since it uses not one but three types of material to give support to the back. Aside from the S-shaped backrest, there’s a thin layer of foam embedded. This acts as a lumbar pillow

We find this chair very supportive of the back. It’s quite comfortable that you can lay your back flat against it. This is also what sets it apart from other cushy gaming chairs, even those with a fitted lumbar pillow. The Cougar Argo features a better type of back support. It’s also very cool and breathable because of the mesh seat and backrest.

The arms are also 3D, so you have more ways to adjust them.

Now for the gripes. As much as we love how cool and breathable the mesh is, it is kinda stiff tough. And a bit scraggly. It’s not a chair that you’d want to sit on if you’re wearing shorts. It will definitely scratch your skin.

And it does include a headrest, but we wished it was a bit more solid. It is adjustable, yes. But it de snot hold down its post. We find it swaying from time to time. So we were not a fan of the headrest.

And aesthetics-wise, it looks game-ready, it doesn’t have the most attractive aesthetic. It’s a minimalist chair, yes, but the color scheme might not appeal to everybody.

Final Say

A 600 dollar budget isn’t really affordable, but it’s not a splurge either. But still, you have to make sure that it ticks most, if not all the boxes in your list.
